The International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (GRCA) was formed over 40 years ago in 1975, and it has an international membership coming from well over 20 countries. In recent years, the GRCA has been closely associated with The Concrete Society, but The International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association maintains its own identity and tradition of serving the GRC industry.

The GRCA brings together all those with an interest in Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC):

  • To exchange knowledge and experience concerning GRC
  • To promote GRC in all its valid applications and advance the interests of its members
  • To participate in establishing Codes of Practice and National Standards covering manufacture and performance
  • To organise International Conferences as a forum for discussing and disseminating GRC knowledge on materials, products and uses.
  • Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete or GRC, also known as Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete or GFRC (see What is GRC) and known around the world by various names such as Composite Ciment Verre or CCV, and Fiber Takviyeli Beton, is one of the most versatile building materials available to architects and engineers. Composed principally of cement, sand and special alkali resistant (AR) glassfibres, GRC is a thin, high strength concrete with many applications in construction.

On this site, you can find out more about GRC, obtain the GRC Association's publications, including the GRCA Specification for GRC, find a GRCA Approved Manufacturer Scheme (AMS) manufacturer of GRC, find suppliers and consultants, find out more about membership of the Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (see Membership) and see GRC news and forthcoming events involving GRC and the GRCA.
